For families split between New England and Florida
If You're Reading This
You're the one who notices things before anyone else does.
You became your parent's project manager without ever agreeing to the job.
You've brought up extra help and it didn't go well, so you dropped it.
You lay awake remembering the thing you forgot to schedule.
You've thought, I can't keep doing this, and then kept doing it anyway.
You live in another state and don't know who to call when something goes wrong.
If you nodded at even one of these, you're not disorganized, and you're not failing. It is simply too much for one person to hold.
Here's the Part Nobody Says Out Loud
You've been the scheduler, the researcher, the one who remembers, and the one who worries. Not because anyone asked you to. Because someone had to.
Here's what changes when you make the call: you stop being the entire system. One person learns your family's situation, makes the calls, follows up, and tells you what happened. You go back to being the daughter or son again, instead of the case manager.
One call. We take it from there.
Book a Free ConsultationWhat We Actually Do
If your parents need a bathroom modified, a roof repaired, or a ramp built, you don't need to guess who to trust. We source licensed contractors, secure multiple bids, and physically stand in the house to oversee the labor.
Every single month, Margaret or I physically inspect your parents' home. We test smoke detectors, check for hidden plumbing leaks, evaluate lighting, and look for subtle behavioral changes or physical fall hazards before an accident happens.
If your parent experiences a sudden health shift or hospital stay, we immediately step in. We coordinate the urgent home adjustments, clear pathways, and ensure the house is secure and accessible before they step foot out of the hospital.
We coordinate care. We do not provide medical or hands-on personal care; every licensed provider is engaged with your family's approval.
One Simple Membership
No hourly billing to dread, no surprise invoices. One monthly membership, one dedicated coordinator on your side.
Managing a home is hard enough. Managing a seasonal move between New England and Florida from afar is overwhelming. With our monthly membership, Margaret and I keep one calendar and one point of contact across both states:
Provider services are billed separately at their own rates. Additional properties are quoted individually. Serving Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine & Florida.
An Honest Comparison
Hourly care management and referral services are good at what they do. They simply answer a different question than the one most families are asking: who keeps this from falling apart again next month?
Your first call is free, and we will tell you honestly if a membership is not the right fit.
Hourly rates reflect published care-management fees commonly seen across Massachusetts and New England; referral services are typically paid by the provider a family chooses. Always confirm current pricing directly with any service you are considering.

The Two People Behind It
I'm Nicholas. A few years ago, I found myself completely overwhelmed trying to help my own father transition out of his long-term home into something more manageable. Between vetting honest contractors, checking the house for safety hazards, managing vendors, and trying to just be a supportive son, I realized how exhausting it is to oversee a parent's property while keeping your own life and career running.
I built Abode N Beyond so other families don't have to carry that weight alone. Margaret and I are your personal, local, boots-on-the-ground coordinators. We manage the logistics of the house, so you can go back to being family again.
One thing worth clearing up, because people assume it: we are not husband and wife. We are business partners, and each of us brings a different half of what your family needs.

Margaret Hamilton, Director of Operations
Margaret is the gerontologist of the two. She built the gerontology concentration within the Health Science major at Westfield State University, then spent years on Cape Cod becoming the person families called first. She knew the neighbors, families, and shopkeepers by name. Before long, people started calling her the Mayor of the Cape. The title is unofficial. The instinct is the job.
